What Will Be Your Day to Day Tasks?
Facilities assistants are assigned to teams to carry out a variety of general administration tasks and duties, these will include but not be limited to:
- Post to be collected at the beginning of the day and to send post out at the end of the working day.
- Arrange for parcels to be sent via courier when required.
- General house-keeping tasks
- To liaise with on site staff and provide admin aid while on site.
- Dealing with customer queries when required and to provide IT assistance on site.
- Manage and provide cover to the help desk.
- To log reactive jobs and inform the relevant DEFRA FM member of the work.
- To run reports and provide the team with a list of outstanding works and to escalate any ongoing open jobs with contractor contract.
- To act as Appointed Person for any evacuations and to assist in a first aid incident. (There is no requirement to be a first aider).
- To help with general admin duties and provide help with any ad-hoc requests facilities may get via the help desk or telephone.
