Job description

The Recruitment team (that forms part of HR) at Fieldfisher is very well regarded with a focus on direct recruiting and retaining of talent. We work across four key areas: fee earner recruitment, lateral hires, business services recruitment and early careers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Advisor to work closely with the team's recruitment manager to support with the direct hiring of legal support and business services roles.

Business services recruitment continues to be a vital part of the firm's expansion, and we work with hiring managers across all the key business areas including marketing/BD, risk, IT, HR, legal support services, knowledge & information services, and finance, as well as the firm's fee-earning departments for paralegal vacancies.

The Opportunity

The role is extremely unique and varied, and the successful candidate will be an ambassador of the firm by managing an efficient end to end recruitment process for business support vacancies across the UK, attend external careers events at Universities and Colleges and assist with coordinating assessment centres for the various business support apprenticeship and graduate programmes.

As the Recruitment Advisor, you will…

  • Manage the life cycle of junior to mid-level roles (e.g., IT Service Desk Analysts, Legal PAs, DPU, Practice Admin, Marketing/BD Executives) which will include:
    • Meeting with hiring managers to discuss and confirm job descriptions
    • Direct sourcing including research, identification, and approach of talent via LinkedIn and other relevant channels
    • Candidate selection and interviews or assessment centres
    • Candidate management and feedback
    • Management of offer paperwork and on-boarding
    • Market mapping
  • Attend external events (such as careers fairs, open days at universities) and act as an ambassador for the firm in Belfast
  • Work with the Recruitment Manager to support with assessment centres in Belfast (marking assessments, coordinating candidates)
  • Utilise social media channels to promote roles
  • Support the wider team on new recruitment initiatives and projects
  • Carry out research to market map for roles and keep information up to date
  • Oversee phone interviews and application screenings for the Belfast training programmes and the ACE scheme

A bit about you

  • Proven experience of working in a recruitment environment, preferably in-house in a professional services environment.
  • Proven track record of researching/resourcing direct candidates for all roles regardless of level using tools such as LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with people at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and works well independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude in line with the values of Fieldfisher.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and to balance varied requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A full understanding and appreciation of maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
  • Process driven with excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience of running/coordinating assessment centres is desirable, but not essential.
