Reed HR are looking for a Recruitment Advisor to join a very busy public entity based in central Birmingham on a 3 month contract which is likely to be extended into a permanent position.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Birmingham city centre
Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid working. 2 days in the office)
As a key member of the People Services team, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process as a Recruitment Advisor, ensuring a seamless experience from the initial advert to the final offer. Your role is crucial in maintaining the companies reputation as a great place to work, by delivering professional advice and solutions that align with their strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Delivery: Manage a robust recruitment process, meeting performance measures related to time, cost, and quality.
- Content Creation: Keep webpages on platforms like Indeed and Glassdoor up-to-date, enhancing our employer branding.
- Knowledge Sharing: Stay informed about recruitment legislation and diversity developments, sharing insights with the team.
- Change Initiatives: Support and lead change initiatives to improve our organisational culture and performance.
Stakeholder Relationships:
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coach and support colleagues to foster a collaborative and effective work environment.
Policy, Process & Guidance:
- Contribute to policy and process improvements for continuous development within People Services and the Commission.
- Assist managers in developing recruitment capabilities to foster a diverse workforce.
Management Information:
- Provide clear and concise reports on recruitment activities to stakeholders, including our Executive Team.
Cost Effectiveness & Value for Money:
- Monitor recruitment budget and spend, ensuring value for money in agency hires.
Equality & Diversity:
- Support the implementation of our E&D strategy, ensuring diversity and inclusion are central to our recruitment process.
Advertising & Communications:
- Advise on and implement effective attraction and selection plans, working closely with our Communications team.
Your Profile:
- Proven experience within internal recruitment and onboarding.
- Experience of working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including maintenance and upkeep. You will explore problems, test solutions and rectify or escalate as needed.
- You will ideally have some experience of working in partnership with third party suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

- Experience of working with HR software (Sage People & iTrent)
- Experience of managing and maintaining an accurate and effective resourcing tracker to present to senior colleagues.
