A snapshot of the Referral Support Administrator role
You will liaise with local authorities on new referrals and existing Bedspace placements. You will assess suitability of new referrals with internal team leaders and team managers. You will complete internal and external follow-ups on all incoming referrals and existing placements. Help to ensure funding evidence has been received for all placements and provide local authorities with due diligence for new placements. You will play an integral part of every person’s transition into their new Bedspace home. A highly rewarding role for someone who wants to make a positive impact.
Why we want You
After receiving over 3,000 referrals in 2023, our Business Development Dept is looking at increasing with a new Referral Support team member. We have an exciting 2024 planned already with the further development of our ‘’Bedspace Pathway’’ of services across the North, working collaboratively with Local Authorities helping to support children and young people, families, and adults through their journey to sustainable independent living.
About you
You will act as the first point of contact for all referral requests coming into the company. You will accurately monitor and record the number and type of referrals coming into the business from local authorities. Produce relevant reports on referral types, numbers, and conversion rates for Senior Management as required. To provide a first line assessment and response to all referrals, passing the relevant information on to the correct manager. Keeping on top of the progress of referrals that have been requested, chasing the relevant parties for responses when required. Provide support to Management on referral enquiries as and when required whilst liaising with other departments as required, ensuring communication about referral levels is maintained so all areas of the business are prepared for increased demand.
To be successful in this role these are the essential skills you’ll be able to showcase:
· Great administrative, IT includes knowledge of Microsoft Office and co-ordination skills with High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Great people skills -communication, listening and influencing skills, you’ll have an ability to work with a range of people – local authorities, various departments in the business, senior managers, and team managers.
· To make an active contribution to the development, review, and implementation of process improvements.
· To act as the verbal liaison as necessary with centralised local authority teams, maintaining a positive and professional impression of the company.
· Knowledge of local authorities and the referral process.
· Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
· Strong understanding of GDPR legislation.
