(Register) Accountant

Join our team at a dynamic small manufacturing company based in Newbury. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join them in a temporary-to-permanent capacity. Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow to optimise financial efficiency.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audit and tax filing processes.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations, implementing internal controls as necessary.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial performance.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
