Nexgen Locum have a position available with our client in Chelmsford for a Registered Manager.
Salary 33,000 to 36000 per annum
Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for the operational day to day management of the service ensuring continued compliance with relevant legislation.
Working with colleagues in the senior management team you will ensure the provision of high quality service.
Must be committed to developing and enhancing the services they provide.
Main Duties:
- To review and implement policies and procedures
- To maintain high quality service in partnership with colleagues
- To ensure all policies, regulations and requirements are met and exceeded
- To ensure person centered care services that promote independence, choice and dignity to empower people to live as independently as possible.
- To ensure that care is structured to provide flexibility, reliability and continuity.
- To ensure service is appropriately resourced with qualified experienced staff
- To ensure all new referrals are responded to in a timely manor
- To oversee the co -ordination of care workers across all areas
- To have great communication skills and maintain duty of care to staff and service users, relatives, social work teams
- In partnership with Senior management Develop and grow services and identify marketing opportunities
- To produce monthly management reports and attend senior management team and director level meetings
- To Manage a large team of staff
- To ensure all hr and staff management duties are performed
- To proactively manage delegated budgets ensuring efficient use of resources
- To evaluate services regularly
- To resolve all complaints/ safeguarding in accordance with policy
Needed for the role:
- a minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and social care setting preferably in domiciliary care
- at least 2 years' experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting
- Experience of working in/managing a domiciliary care service
- Experience of managing an effective team
- a knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities and standards of the service, including the need for the management and delivery of person centered services
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care or the equivalent
- Flexible approach to working hours(with ability to work hours to the needs of the business)
- A good team ethic
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Commitment to the goals of the organisation as a whole
- Full Driving licence and use of own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
