Location: Newcastle, Walbottle
Salary: Negotiable, very competitive salary, dependent on experience.
The role will be working office hours, with the support of a Deputy Manager who works a combination of office hours and shift hours.
You'll be dynamic, forward thinking and skilled in supporting young people with complex needs.
You will demonstrate high aspirations for the children to successfully manage the five bedroom children s home. With strong communication skills and an awareness and sensitivity of dealing with the issues surrounding a challenging environment, the successful applicant will demonstrate a natural passion for working with the care that we provide to our young people.
The Manager will also ensure the staff thrive to meet their potential and are seen as positive role models.
You will be able to create a strong management team and be committed to building a culture in the home, with support from and SMT including the CEO, Head of development (and Deputy CEO) and Head Teacher from the school.
Desirable candidate qualities:
- Previous experience of working with children
- Previous Management experience.
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 and/or NVQ Level 5 via the children s pathway in residential Childcare/Children and Young people.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to their own vehicle.
