You’ll be responsible for the design and delivery of training and learning opportunities to develop the clinical skills of care, support and nursing staff across the organisation’s care homes, nursing homes and supported living services. They support people of all ages with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities / complex needs.

It's important that you able to travel extensively as you'll work from home but with regular travel across the UK for in person training, competency assessments, meetings and events.
The Clinical Trainer Role
You’ll work across the services nationwide to support care and support staff with the development of skills specifically in medication management and first aid. This will include developing training packages, setting up train the trainer systems, and undertaking competency assessments.
- Facilitate a range of education , training and learning opportunities. This will involve supporting in the delivery of structured classroom-based training as well as support in the development of blended learning approaches in person and virtually.
- Provide training and resources for Service Managers and Area Managers so that they are able to competency assess staff during the course of their daily activities.
- Implementation and running of the train the trainer framework
- Ensure that effective governance is in place supporting role development, development of career pathways and supporting services to roll out educational initiatives.
- Engage in and contribute to both internal and external networks of best practice and education providers, attending meetings as required. This will include sharing initiatives at regional and national events.
What we’re looking for..
- A Registered Nurse with active NMC pin. Any discipline is fine RGN / RNLD / RMN / RSCN
- Ideally somebody who has worked as a Clinical Trainer / Nurse Trainer previously
- Experience in working in the clinical learning environment and of assessing the competency of others
- Experience of teaching and facilitation of clinical skills to a wide range of staff within any setting
- Knowledge of the range of nursing interventions care and support that are likely to be required within residential, nursing and supported living services for adults and children with learning and or physical disabilities / complex needs.
- Ability to work flexibly and travel extensively across the UK.
