We are looking for a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our amazing hospital in Ashton.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency and critical care and will thrive on working to gold standard in patient and client care.
At Medivet Ashton we are fully equipped to carry out medical workups and surgical procedures and you would be fully supported by our team of vets and nurses.
Equipment at the branch includes: ECG/X-Ray/Ultrasound/Operating theatres/endoscopy/laparoscopic procedures/digital dental x-ray. Cat friendly status.
This presents an excellent opportunity to balance work with other commitments, such as studies, offering a considerable amount of flexibility.
This is a permanent full time role. The work schedule entails 3 nights followed by 21 days off, with working hours from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM. weekends are included.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
