The opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team in Knypersley, Staffordshire on a Part Time basis.
The practice is led by our Branch Partner and Lead Veterinary Surgeon Richard who is highly dedicated and has keen interest in dentistry and orthopaedics. You will also be fully supported by the rest of this experienced team which includes a Head RVN and Practice Manager.The practice can provide digital x-ray, dental x-ray, inhouse blood analysers and ultrasound services, alongside Medivets unique hub and spoke model, allowing access to diagnostic equipment at our local 24-hour hospital including multi parameter, CT scanner, endoscope and a laparoscopic kit.
The practice has been working very hard towards gaining the ISFM cat friendly clinic registration.
The Part Time hours will be an average of 30 hours per week which includes a fair rota of weekend shifts with TOIL, other benefits to include:

- Assisting Veterinary Surgeons with their medical/surgical dutiesMonitoring of anaesthesiaNursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and careRunning in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptionsNurse consultations- internal training provided!Ensuring compliance and that policies and procedures are adhered to
- Registered with the RCVSAbility to keep on top of practice protocols and proceduresExcellent organisational skillsStrong communicator with both colleagues and clientsPatience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situationsAbility to use your judgement and make decisionsClinical coaching experience would be an advantage
