Regulatory Analyst

Salary: £38,000 - £41,000 per annum/pro-rata (depending on skills and experience)

Location: High Holborn, London

Hours: 35 hours per week - Full-time, permanent contract

The Role 

Help us to protect the public interest and put analysis at the heart of our work. The BSB is currently recruiting for an Analyst to join our Regulatory Risk Team.  

As a Regulatory Analyst at the BSB, you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of analysis and intelligence in a key regulator of the legal sector. You will be responsible for using tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation to identify emerging risk and themes, using your expertise to develop recommendations and insights that will inform our regulatory strategy. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to maintain and update our risk management framework, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform all our decision-making.  

In this role, you will have the chance to apply your analytical, research and drafting skills to challenging but rewarding problems facing the regulated profession. You will be part of a collaborative team at the forefront of the BSB’s strategy, where your contributions will make a real impact. The BSB 

The Bar Standards Board (BSB) regulates barristers and their professional practice and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales in the public interest. We are responsible for setting education and training requirements, setting standards, authorising organisations, monitoring the service provided, and handling complaints. Barristers work at the heart of our justice system so BSB’s mission is fundamentally important to the maintenance of the rule of law.
