Key Responsibilities:
As an Operations Manager, your role will encompass a range of critical tasks, including:
- Assessing job requirements based on survey results and efficiently allocating personnel and vehicles.
- Overseeing vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure a fleet in top condition.
- Collaborating closely with the warehouse manager and staff to optimise workflow.
- Managing the removals diary on a daily basis.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of crew tasks, issues, and arrival times.
- Coordinating job costings with the transfer managers.
- Facilitating the use of "third-party" services during UK Removals activities.
- Establishing clear parking suspensions or exemptions as needed.
- Requesting service price comparisons from our partners in the UK Removals industry.
- Developing plans for assigning outside labour when necessary.
Requirements:
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in Removal Operations Management is highly desirable.
- Hold a complete forklift licence and demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills to streamline operations efficiently.
- Proficiency in IT to effectively manage data and processes.
