Are you a skilled and motivated Repairs Manager with a passion for building maintenance and supervision? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and deliver exceptional services to our clients.
We are seeking a conscientious, enthusiastic, and experienced individual with a can-do attitude and can-do approach. Applicants must have a strong background in building repairs and maintenance repairs as a supervisor or manager. The Repairs Manager must always maintain a professional appearance and attitude and be polite and courteous. It is a further requirement that all contract employees must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Our aim is to maintain high client satisfaction through delivery of maintenance and repairs services ensuring a controlled and safe environment whilst working effectively and in a timely manner and balancing constantly changing priorities. This attention to detail and ensuring that we conclude our work, with the right first-time approach to maximise and enhance our reputation with our client, is paramount to the success of the contract.
As a Repairs Manager, you will have a range of responsibilities, including:
- Ensuring that routine and reactive maintenance, planned preventive maintenance and project works exceed expectations, and agreed contractual requirements and service level agreements.
- Managing WIP with the Service Manager including supporting sourcing required resource, programming and scoping work to meet service level agreement and ensuring FES and the Service Manager are kept updated.
- To scope, price, quote and deliver project works and also support and coach Supervisors to be able to carry this out
- Taking lead & building the relationships with the clients by liaising with them to keep them up to date with the overall delivery of the works and how these are progressing.
- Liaising with the University stakeholders and ensure they are kept within the communication loop, to fully understand the process, schedule of works and any access requirements.
- Always understanding and enforcing a positive health and safety culture through training, audits and site visits. Including taking a lead on compliance and safety audits
- Ensuring appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems set out by the university are followed.
- Ensuring that Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Task Sheets are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
Qualifications needed:
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in relevant trade (Essential)
• SSSTS Health and Safety (Desirable)
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (Essential)
