Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator for an exciting programme – RE-STAR (Regulating Emotions – Strengthening Adolescent Resilience).

Based at King’s College London, RE-STAR is a multi-disciplinary and cross institution programme of research bringing together developmental psychology, data science, psychiatry and neuroscience with educational studies and applied theatre. Its goal is to better understand the role of everyday stressors and emotional responding in the development of mental health problems for young people and those with ADHD; and then to translate the knowledge gained into new school-based interventions tailored to the needs of these young people.

This is a part-time post – 60%FTE (21 hours per week). The role will involve working closely with the Programme Manager in supporting the RE-STAR Team. This post is well-suited to someone who would enjoy working within higher education and has a strong interest in research-related administration.

This post will be offered on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2025.

Key responsibilities

Arranging and facilitating project meetings – booking facilities, circulating agendas and papers, taking minutes.

Assisting the Programme Manager in monitoring and managing the programme budget, including managing expenditure and keeping financial records.

Liaising with internal departments in KCL, collaborating institutions and external partners.

Assisting the researchers in various aspects related to data collection.

Assisting in preparing public dissemination materials (e.g., press releases, social media posts, etc.)

Assisting with production of reports to the grant funder.

The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
