Job description
The Research Assistant for the “Decolonising social sciences curricula - an exchange between campuses within formerly colonising and colonised contexts” project will play a key role in generating and analysing data that explores efforts to decolonise social sciences curricula at Warwick, Monash Australia, and Monash Malaysia university campuses. The project will adopt decolonial methodologies, including e.g. Exercising Critical Reflexivity, Embracing Other(ed) Ways of Knowing as well as Embodying a Transformative Praxis (Thambinathan & Kinsella, 2021). This project will generate insights into decolonising curricula that will be of use outside of the three project campuses. The project will also produce academic outputs interrogating decolonisation processes in the social sciences. For an informal discussion about this position, please contact Dr Silvia Gomes (Silvia.Gomes@warwick.ac.uk). We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so. Full details of the duties and selection criteria for this role can be found in the vacancy advert on the University of Warwick's jobs pages.
