Applications are invited for a Research Associate inMedicinal Chemistrywithin the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry at the University of Manchester. The post is available from May 1st 2024 and will be tenable on a fixed term basis for 24 months, in the first instance.
You will contribute to a North-West Cancer Research funded project focusing on the development of novel anticancer drugs. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from a range of other disciplines to contribute to the programme of research.
You should hold a PhD in a relevant chemical discipline or equivalent and have experience, or willingness to develop experience, in all relevant aspects of chemistry and biology.

As this role involves research at a postgraduate level, applicants who are not an EEA national or a national of an exempt country and who will require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the UK Visas and Immigration’s (UKVI) Points Based System in order to take up the role, will be required to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) Certificate and will need to obtain this prior to making any official visa application UKVI.
