Job Description: The Research Engineer role within the R&D team offers a unique opportunity to drive the development of cutting-edge legal research solutions. This position plays a pivotal role in translating complex legal challenges into data-driven tools that enhance the client’s product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, prototype, and refine solutions aligned with project objectives.
- Utilise large language models (LLMs) to develop data-driven solutions for complex legal information retrieval tasks.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in LLMs and data science, contributing to ongoing innovation efforts within the team.
- Manage the R&D codebase and datasets to ensure high standards of data quality, privacy, and security.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and apply insights to inform the R&D strategy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
- Proven experience in data science roles, particularly in natural language processing and LLM applications.
- Experience in the legal sector is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
