This is an opportunity for an individual with experience in Realist Evaluation to join the Centre for Health and Clinical Research (CHCR) at UWE Bristol. CHCR has a rapidly growing national and international reputation for high-quality research and knowledge mobilisation activities which benefit the health and wellbeing of individuals and society.
Our research encompasses a range of clinical areas including musculoskeletal, neurology, pain, emergency care, urology, palliative and end of life care with cross-cutting themes of knowledge mobilisation (including evaluation) and children, young people and families. This post is funded by Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB).
About you:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with the potential to progress as a research leader in Realist Evaluation methods. You will need to demonstrate experience and an in-depth understanding of Realist Evaluation research methods.
Within the role you would be expected to develop capacity for research based upon Realist Evaluation methods and conduct health related research individually or as part of a team to achieve the objectives of CHCR as well as the Research team of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB, including identifying sources of funding and contributing to the process of securing funds. Collaborative working with the Clinical Effective and Research Team at the ICB will be expected, to provide methodological support for evaluation of service initiatives.
You will work closely with and be supported by the Director of CHCR as well as other senior members of the Centre and the Research team from the ICB.

This is a fixed-term post for 2 years and is full time working on a 1.0 FTE contract.
This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
