Job Description
I am recruiting for a Senior Researcher/Economist to support the production of evidence and data-based content for its clients, translating the economics into reports and evidence pieces that are both publicly and politically salient, are media-friendly, and inform and influence political debate across a range of policy issues and trends.The successful applicant will report directly to the Associate Director that heads the economics and research function for WPI.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Research Manager should have:
- A degree in a relevant field such as political science, economics, or social sciences.
- Excel proficient and using data and research to construct readable, communications-friendly research outputs
- Robust background in research with an emphasis on policy development and analysis
- Familiar with working with quantitative datasets and statistical analysis most often from government and industry sources: e.g. ONS industry datasets (public spending, jobs, growth, productivity etc); and also public attitudes polling.
- The ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of research ethics and integrity.
