Grade UE05 - £25,742 - £29,605 per annum. (A revised salary range for this grade of £27,979 - £32332 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024.)

College of Arts, Humanities and Social Science; School of Health in Social Science

Full Time - 35 hours per week

Open-Ended (Permanent)

We are looking for a Research Support Administrator to join the School of Health in Social Science to provide administrative support to the Health in Social Science Research Support Team.

We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working with an expectation that the role holder will be on campus a minimum of two days per week.

The Opportunity:

This role involves monitoring the Research Support Office email inbox and Research Ethics inbox, pre and post award support, communication of funding opportunities; news; training; events and other relevant information to the School’s Research community, meeting and events administration, and finance administration.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Previous experience of research and financial administration and high degree of numeracy
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail, and sustain a high performance whilst working under pressure
  • Previous experience of event and meeting organisation, with excellent skills in planning, organising, prioritisation and time-management
  • Strong literacy skills, with previous experience of maintaining internal and external communication channels
  • Strong IT skills, and the ability to quickly learn how to use a range of new packages including non-standard systems
