Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children in need? We are currently seeking a Responsible Individual/Operations manager to join our team in St Helens to oversee the Management of around 5 Childrens Residential Homes.
Responsibilities:
Supervise individualized care planning and oversee quality of care for the young people
Provide on-site assistance to Registered Managers, Support Teams, and Young Individuals
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards such as Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Care Standards
Prepare for and support in Ofsted inspections
Mentor and evaluate Registered Managers, identifying training needs
Manage financial budgets and ensure compliance with regulations
Safeguard young individuals and support Registered Managers in this
Maintain administrative systems and GDPR compliance
Advocate for safe work environment and uphold high standards of practice
Assist in staff recruitment and oversee HR procedures
Contribute to organizational expansion and service enhancement
Build positive relationships with placing authorities and commissioners
Facilitate effective communication and participation to meet young individuals' needs.
Experience needed:
At least 4 years of experience working within children’s residential services – ideally as a RI/Ops Manager
Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and behavior management techniques
Experience in business development and winning contracts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A clear background check and driving record
