Restaurant Manager - Bath, Somerset
THE ELDER RESTAURANT IN BATH
Seated in a series of elegant and atmospheric dining rooms, each portioned along the lines of the original Georgian houses they reside within, our guests are welcomed as old friends. A sumptuous yet informal dining experience where our guests are taken on a journey of discovery by our knowledgeable and passionate team. Everyone who visits The Elder leaves having learnt something –whether it’s a story about the history of Bath, our local estates or how we prepare and cook the perfect venison.
Managing our own game on local estates offers us the opportunity to take our guests out to visit these sites, enhancing their experience even further
Sustainability is at the core of our message – we go to incredible lengths to ensure all our meat, fish and veg are grown or harvested humanely, carefully and with care. Our wild food offering is unique in the UK – as land managers we control wild deer herds on private estates and process the venison in our own FSA regulated larder.
The Elder is the brainchild of Mike Robinson, one of Britain’s leading authorities on wild food and game. His infectious personality and passion for sustainable wild food has converted more than one vegetarian. Mike is Co-Owner of The Harwood Arms in Fulham, London’s only Michelin Starred pub, also specialising in game and wild food and Owner of Robinson Wild Foods, specialist supplier of the best venison to 15 of London’s finest restaurants.
Set in a beautiful honey coloured Georgian terrace, Grade one listed, our building is steeped in history and sits in the peaceful street of South Parade, just steps away from the centre of Bath. Surrounded by culture Bath is famous for romance, literature and historic architecture; our boutique hotel is a great base to explore this wonderful city.
