This is hybrid role requiring two days a week in the office.
Job Purpose of the Restructuring Manager
Assist and support the Head of Restructuring with supporting and the administration of the non-performing loan books across SME, Real Estate Lending and Asset Finance.
Monitor and control loan account arrears following the Bank’s Arrears Procedures to minimise risk of loss to the Bank.
Responsibilities of the Restructuring Manager
· To advise and support borrowers in developing and implementing optimal strategies to return their loans to performing status. This will include strategies involving, but not limited to, the appointment of reporting accountants, debt restructuring, further borrowing and refinance of the loans with alternative products and or lenders.
· To assess the credibility of borrowers’ recovery plans and their ability to implement them and to monitor the performance of loans against their recovery plans and advise the borrowers on any amendments required as appropriate.
· To quickly identify those borrowers who do not have a credible recovery strategy to move these accounts into resolution (e.g. receivership, call up of guarantees, etc).
· To liaise with any appointed Solicitor, Insolvency Practitioner and /or Receiver to recovery the Bank’s debt and liaise with the borrower, where appropriate, to facilitate co-operation to achieve the loan recovery objectives.
· Communicate with relevant stakeholders any cases where there is risk or potential risk of loss to the bank, including distressed and underperforming loans

Job specific skills of the Restructuring Manager :
Proven record of success in commercial banking relationship management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills developed from a credit-based background
General knowledge of the commercial environment and sector specialism including Real Estate lending, Asset Finance and the SME market
Good understanding of Conduct and TCF requirements relevant to Real Estate and Asset Finance lending
· An understanding of the identification and treatment of Vulnerable Customers
