Brindisa, now in its 36th year, has grown to become the UK's leading importer of the finest Spanish foods. We search for, select and sell delicious Spanish foods through our Brindisa shops and website, and via wholesale to businesses throughout the UK. We devote our time to Spain and its produce because we love the food and are passionate about sharing it with others.
Our core values are what we live by: they shape the Brindisa culture and define its character. Put simply this is what it’s all about... love of food, integrity, knowledge of Spain, innovation. We take pleasure in our work and celebrating our successes together.
The Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our 15-strong, dynamic Retail team. Our Retail Assistants are the ultimate multitaskers, able to turn their hand to pretty much any of the tasks that ensure our shops run smoothly. Like the rest of the team, they work across both our shops (Borough Market and Balham; one site per shift), delivering the fantastic customer service that drives our sales. They are focused on ensuring our customers receive a warm welcome, receive advice tailored to their individual needs, and leave feeling compelled to recommend us to others. Another key responsibility of the role, is keeping our shops looking bountiful, clean and tidy.

A real team player who proactively does what is needed while remaining calm under pressure (our shops can get very busy!). You’ll have a positive, “can do” attitude, be happy to follow instructions to the letter and with excellent attention to detail. You are reliable, punctual, and take pride in your work.
Please note that we are looking for Shop Assistants to work across both of our retails outlets - at Borough Market, London Bridge and Hildreth Street, Balham. The role is full-time: 5 days (40hrs) per week, Tuesday-Sunday (closed Mondays), typically 9.00am-5.30pm.
