Retirement Housing Area Manager (Inner London)

The role

As Retirement Housing Area Manager, you will be part of the Care and support management team, leading five housing managers across Camden. Your expertise will be used to support the team in resolving any complex tenancy management issues including Anti-Social Behaviour cases. Visiting the schemes regularly to encourage resident engagement will be a key part of your role. This will contribute to helping residents aged 55 and over reduce isolation and empower them to live independently.

Managing a well-established team, you will continue to ensure workload is prioritised effectively and regularly monitored to improve performance. You will conduct audits across each scheme to ensure compliance with Policy and Procedure and take required action. Maintaining good communication with internal and external stakeholders is key to the role. It will continue to cultivate partnership working to achieve best outcomes.

  • Support your team to consistently deliver a high service standard.
  • Monitor and manage rent accounts in your service area.
  • Oversee the health and safety of residents and schemes.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with customers aged 55 and over.
  • Good knowledge of housing management, including ASB, Voids, Lettings and Arrears management.
  • Self-motivation and able to handle conflict, problem solve and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in people management, ideally of a dispersed team, you will be confident, friendly, and possess excellent communication skills.
