What it’s like working in our team…

The revenues department is a small but busy part of the council providing a front-line service to its residents with a proactive approach. We are a friendly and dedicated revenues team responsible for the billing, collection, and recovery of all local taxes. We work closely with multiple departments within the council, including benefits and housing, to provide a seamless response to customer queries. You will be involved in varied and sometimes challenging work daily.


You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…

  • Support and contribute to the delivery of Revenue Services with a focus on customer care
  • To input and retrieve information from computer systems via PC-based applications
  • Maintenance of accounts when dealing with debt recovery enquiries
  • Continuing drive to encourage customers to self-serve and apply for e-billing when available
  • Adhering to GDPR guidelines while carry out the duties required
