R&I Delivery Officer (Post-Award Finance)

We are looking for an R&I Delivery Officer to join the Research & Innovation Directorate to provide post-award project support for research activity at the university. The RoleWe are looking for a confident and proactive candidate who will be responsible for the post-award financial management of a wide range of research and consultancy projects across the University. You will work with a team of colleagues to deliver a high-quality post-award project support service for Academic and Professional Service colleagues. You will act as the main point of contact for project delivery related queries and requests. You will support the financial management of a large portfolio of projects, involving multiple internal and external partners. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing project budgets, preparing and submitting financial claims in line with funder requirements and advising on university financial policy and procedures. This is a key role within the Directorate at a central level, and you will be expected to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of funders' operational and financial reporting procedures. About youThis exciting opportunity will suit a proactive candidate with good organisational and analytical skills with a proven track record of managing project finances. Ideally you will have a good understanding of the UK research funding landscape and knowledge of the operational activities that support delivery of successful projects. We welcome transferable skills and are looking for a fast learner, with excellent people skills and the ability to prioritise workload to provide a professional service.
