Risk and Compliance Officer
Salary - £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
2 year FTC - option to extend to 3 years
Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hrs)

This is a newly created role, one in which you will be working collaboratively across the Trust, helping to inform business cases as well as identifying ways to measure and improve Risk and Compliance. Your support and influence will enable our skilled teams to confidently deliver services and projects.
About the Role:
Supporting the CEO in leading on Risk and Compliance, you will be implementing the Trust's enterprise risk management policy, implementing a new risk management system and embedding risk management reporting at all levels of the Trust.
Responsible for facilitating and supporting a range of compliance areas including contract management, financial risk, Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Working predominantly with senior stakeholders and their leadership and managerial teams to identify key areas for improvement using the PDCA model of quality assurance.
Preparing Board, Committee and Senior Leadership Team reports and serving as the Trust’s Data Protection Officer.
About you:
This role would suit someone looking to develop their career in Risk and Compliance, capable of strategic, ‘big picture’ thinking as well as having excellent attention to detail.
You will have knowledge of legislation, compliance, and regulatory regimes (CQC & GDPR). Ideally having worked within the social healthcare sector or public sector, NHS or local authority/local borough councils.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a range of different stakeholders at all levels is essential, as you will be facilitating the development of risk management skills in others in order to secure the delivery of business and organisational objectives.
You must either hold an Enterprise Risk Management qualification or be willing to train for the qualification.
Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) desirable.
Full driving licence is required with access to a motorised vehicle to travel to Trust locations.
