Job Description

We are looking for a Risk & Business Continuity Officer to work within the Compliance team. The successful candidate will be a well organised self-starter with previous experience in risk management and/or Business Continuity.
The Risk & Business Continuity Officer will be required to assist in the development and implementation of robust internal controls supporting SQA’s risk and Business Continuity management activities. In order to do this you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following specific duties:
- Maintaining accurate risk registers, incident reports, or logs for compliance purposes
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting with key stakeholders
- Engagement with internal staff to promote awareness of corporate objectives, such as risk management and Business Continuity
Additionally you must be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Understanding of corporate planning, performance measurement, risk framework, and Business Continuity management
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels of the organisation
Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 7 and/or be able to demonstrate 1-2 years of on-the-job experience. Also, role model the behaviours associated with SQA’s values (Trusted, Progressive and Enabling) in order to develop and sustain a productive and positive culture.
