SalaryMorgan McKinley is recruiting a Risk Manager on behalf of a Tier 1 investment bank in Belfast. The successful candidate will receive a day rate of £482 on an initial 8 month contract
Key responsibilities include:
- Significant contribution to the development of risk and control assessments for Markets products / asset classes
- Work alongside and in collaboration with senior business stakeholders to ensure that the scope of risk and control assessments are complete, fit for purpose, and adhere to both regulatory expectations and policy requirements
- Execute assigned deliverables and work products to manage cross-team dependencies, ensuring that issues and risks are identified and proactively managed
- Drive engagement across the Markets business and with stakeholders across the three lines of defense, where required
- Inform key updates and matters requiring decision for presentation to management for areas of responsibility
Requirements:
5-8 years of experience in one or more of the following role types:
- Risk and Control - Markets Sales and Trading
- Internal Audit - Markets Sales and Trading
- External Audit- Markets Sales and Trading
- Operational Risk - Markets Sales and Trading
- Controls Testing - Markets Sales and Trading
- Strong understanding of the operational risk management framework including risk and control assessments, with a proven track record of contributing to risk and control based regulatory remediation programs
- Knowledge and experience of Markets business across one or more product / function
- Excellent communication skills required in order to collaborate and negotiate internally. Some external communication may be necessary
- Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions
- Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity
