Job Title: Solar Installer Roofing (PAYE)

Salary: £35,000+ private healthcare including family cover + pension

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 3pm

Length of contract: Permanent full-time

Location of job: Domestic & Small Commercial sites across Northern Ireland.

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Summary of role:

As a result of continued expansion, we are seeking an enthusiastic & experienced roofer to work as part of a three-man team along with a labourer & electrician to install solar PV, battery storage & EV charging systems. The role will be based primarily on sites across Northern Ireland with infrequent work in ROI or UK and will involve mainly domestic & small commercial sized systems. Full product specific training will be provided for the equipment we install, and the health & safety equipment used on site. Company uniform will be provided. You will commute to our office in Mallusk daily then travel to site in company van. On site you will represent our company values at all times. Erect appropriate H&S measures on site before work begins, check surveyed roof measurements against actual site measurements - discuss & agree any variations with office & client, install mounting kit & panels as per design to various roof types including tile, slate, metal & flat. Make basic electrical connections on roof, work with rest of team to install cables & containment at high level, leave site tidy after installation.

Essential and desirable criteria

Essential Criteria

- 2 Years experience of installing solar on tile, slate, metal & flat roofs

- Valid CSR card or willing to attain this qualification upon employment starting

- Comfortable working at heights with appropriate H&S measures in place

- A clear criminal record

- Full, clean driving license

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Positive and can-do attitude

- A good team player

- Able to work under pressure

- Ability to commute to our office in Mallusk, company van will be used for travelling to and from installation location

- Willing to undertake extensive manufacturer training on various products and H&S systems

- Willing to attend very occasional trade or home improvement shows

- Willing to work away from home in UK or ROI with overnight stays very occasionally

Desirable Criteria

- MWEP, PASMA and Telehandler qualifications or willing to obtain upon employment

- Working at Heights qualification

- experience of working in domestic properties

- Experience of using a CRM system such as Salesforce

- Experience in a similar role and company

- Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland
