The practice has for many years been consistently recognised in both the Legal 500 (band 2) and Chamber & Partners HNW (band 3).  We are looking for a Senior Associate to help grow our team and our reputation further.

The cases you will work on include:

  • Multi-jurisdictional estate disputes including domicile disputes.
  • Challenges in relation to the validity or construction of wills.

  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
  • Property beneficial ownership / TLATA disputes.
  • Professional negligence claims relating to wills, trusts or tax advice.
  • Contested applications in the Court of Protection
  • Risk management services in relation to stress testing trust structures or estate planning, in conjunction with our Private Client team.

In addition to running your own case load, you will also contribute to the success of the team by:

  • Providing a thoughtful, first class service to every client.
  • Engaging in the supervision and development of more junior team members.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and developing key contacts.
  • Assisting in developing systems and-processes that provide for a happy satisfied team.

Technical skills and expertise

Ideally you will:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience working in a well-regarded Contentious Trustsand Probate team and be enthused and committed to this area of work.
  • Be well versed in providing a thoughtful, first class service to every client.
  • Have strong analytical skills backed up by sound academics.
  • Be used to working – and thinking – independently and creatively.
  • Be able to manage your own caseload and prioritise work effectively.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team with colleagues and clients alike.
