Sales Account Manager / Business Development Manager – NHS Medical Devices - Midlands
My client is a market leader in the gas control medical device market manufacturing a range of technical and specialist equipment. This role is focused into NHS healthcare related customers selling medical products such as gas / oxygen regulators, oxygen concentrators, vacuum regulators.
The territory is the Midlands of England and it is expected the successful candidate will live in this area.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a degree / HND qualified technical sales specialist who excels with a features and benefits type sell. This role is a mixture of hunter and farmer, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable and experienced selling to NHS Medical Physics / Clinical Engineering departments.
Whilst medical gas control equipment experience is advantageous it is not necessarily required it but experience of selling a medical device and capital equipment device is most definitely needed.
The company is looking for a self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high achievement and business success. They will be covering the whole of the Midlands England so it is important they are a good planner of time and resource and are able to maximise productivity.
Communication is key and the ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting and selling to senior consultants, purchasing, engineering physics contacts. They will be a team player and able to get on with others.
A full, clean driving license is required and they must ideally live on territory, visa free.
4+ years Sales Account Management or Regional Sales Management or BDM Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Sell product and grow the territory
- Plan and prioritise customer and prospect contact with a view to achieving agreed business aims — including sales, customer satisfaction and profitability targets.
- Build, agree and execute key account / territory plans.
- Manage product portfolio, pricing and margins according to agreed aims..
- Build the company brand by honouring its core values.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions / communication.
- Use and maintain a CRM system.
- Deliver customer training programs with support from internal colleagues as required.
Experience
- 4 plus years Key Account Management / Regional Sales Management
- Technical product sales in a NHS medical device / medical capital equipment area.
- Experience of selling via Medical Physics / Clinical Engineering Departments Required
- Medical Gas experience an advantage

£40k to £52.5k basic plus bonus capped at 40%
