An employee-owned Seafood Manufacturing business with success expanding back over 30 years have a current vacancy for a Sales Manager in Alness. You will support the Commercial Director in the management and delivery of the commercial aspects of key supplier accounts. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and developing relationships with existing key customers and potentially in attracting new customers also.
As Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Working with all clients to create most accurate forecast, interrogate daily, weekly and of seasonal events
- Working with Production all sites to build plan that delivers best
- Playing a key role in delivering profitable sales growth through supporting customer facing new product development projects & co-ordinating strategic multi category promotional plans
- Identifying new products (and changes to existing products) that will satisfy customer needs in conjunction with the NPD and production teams
- Coordinating regular sales and wastage reporting, customer category data analysis that will help inform operational and strategic commercial decisions across key customers
- Taking responsibility for report and presentation preparation for regular internal and external meetings
We’re looking for a Sales Manager with:
- Experience of working within food industry is essential, fresh food is desired
- An ability to work as part of team but also on your own
- Enthusiastic, resilient and task orientated with the ability to ‘connect’ with farm managers and staff
- Logical mindset, comfortable with gathering, interpreting and presenting data/reports (often of a scientific nature), attention to detail and ensuring data integrity is key
- Familiar with Microsoft Office packages and basic statistical analysis
- Personable, a good listener and able to communicate with a wide range of people, creating trusted relationships
- Able to understand the customers’ needs and articulate those needs to the supply chain and farming community.
