SALES MANAGER - SALEHURST

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is a graduate mechanical engineer or similar, is familiar with Steam Turbines and Electrical Generators and has at least 5 years field sales experience.

Due to the scope of the role, successful candidates should consider themselves capable of building and managing a small seals team and capable of developing to Director level.

Necessary experience:

• Graduate Mechanical Engineer / equivalent (an alternative degree will also be considered).
• Professional Salesperson / Sales Engineer.
• At least five years field sales experience (lesser experience will be considered for an exceptional candidate).
• Familiarity with Steam Turbines and Electrical Generators. (Candidates having less than the optimum knowledge of the Steam Turbines and Generators will be given the necessary product training)
• Extensive experience of selling capital products and services.

Salary: £50,000-£70,000 basic

The role is newly created and will report directly to the Managing Director initially.

The company are a small EPC company undertaking the supply and erection of Steam Turbine-generators and related equipment. The company is a Representative and Distributor of turbines and generators for companies in the UK and abroad. They are seeking a Sales Manager / Senior Sales Engineer to join their small team, working from home and their offices in Salehurst, East Sussex.

Their goal is that the successful candidate will build a small team of salespeople to maximise our market share.

The market for the products and services they offer includes:

• Oil & Gas Production.
• Refining
• Petrochemicals
• Power Generation:
• Combined Cycle.
• Cogen
• CHP
• Biomass
• MWTE
• Chemicals Manufacture
• Fertiliser Production
• Metals Production
• Food Production

And their targets are:

• EPC / EPCM companies
• Intermediary Suppliers
• e.g. Pump Suppliers.
• End Users.

The role will involve travel throughout the UK, Western Europe and Scandinavia (this may involve long periods away from home).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
