Job description

Expo Process Analytics has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to lead and drive the sales strategy of a dynamic and innovative organisation.

We are currently seeing a highly skilled and visionary Sales Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales initiatives. In the role, you will be:

  • Providing market research and identification aligned to company strategy and product portfolio.
  • Planning market penetration and managing full-funnel to achieve rapid growth of the company.
  • Providing in-depth technical product knowledge to allow for front-end specification and product selection.
  • Providing commercial quotations that address technical and commercial items to ensure the delivery of products and services.
  • Organising and attending exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and events to generate leads and meet existing customers.
  • Contributing to pricing and margin analysis to ensure profitability is maintained.
  • Delivering a full input to sales forecasting.
  • Working with Directors to complete and build Service Level Agreements and Maintenance Packages for customers and pricing same.
  • Presenting technical presentations to potential and existing clients.
  • Inputting to strategic commercial objectives and long-term commercial plan for the business.
  • Providing the voice of the customer in the R&D process and create a detailed business plan justifying the investment in products and services.
  • Manage accounts post sales, ensuring smooth integration of devices and services and addressing any issues to maintain customer satisfaction.

Person Specification:

  • Willingness for local and overseas travel (typically, 30-60% of the time will be spent travelling).
  • Enthusiastic and hungry to generate business. A team motivator with a can do outlook completing and finishing work with no loose ends.
  • Organised and able to prioritise tasks and make confident decisions.
  • Understanding of differing global business cultures.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision (self-starter).
  • Able to develop and build professional relationships.
  • Able to use their technical knowledge and expertise to understand customer needs/pains and offer solutions that meet those needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant science or engineering discipline and/or Business, Marketing.
  • 8+- years experience as Sales Manager/Engineer or Business Development Manager/Engineer in an engineering, manufacturing, technical sales or commercial capacity.
  • Experience in lead generation sourcing, networking and bringing new leads to business.
  • Experience of CRM systems and analysing the sales process end-to-end.
  • Presentation skills, both virtual and in-person, are required.

Nice to have:

  • Involvement in PAT Process Analytical Technology.
  • Previous experience or exposure to Process Analytics or dealing with global Pharmaceutical (Animal Health Pharma also considered), Neutraceutical, Food and/or agriculture business sectors.
  • Languages French, German and/or Spanish

EPA brings top class expertise to the integration of PAT into R&D and manufacturing in pharmaceutical, food and agriculture businesses worldwide.

We work with our customers to provide informed spectroscopic, chemometric and engineering on integrating sensors into manufacturing processes to facilitate quality output with reduced downtime, material waste and intelligent operating interfaces.

EPA also offers consulting on aspects of hazardous area certification of probes and devices for all areas of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. The team can assist with the qualification and initial commissioning of interfaces and associated sensors to GMP as well as generating data analysis and model development during the commissioning.
