We are exclusively seeking the right candidate to join Our Client, a firmly established worldwide company, who invites you to take on a key role as a North American Business Development & Territory Sales Manager.

What is the purpose of the Sales Manager - N. America BDM?
As the North American Business Development & Territory Sales Manager, your primary purpose is to drive the growth of B2B sales within the luxury interiors specification sector in North America. By combining direct sales efforts with our Client's established network of dealerships and contacts, you will strengthen their presence in this vital market. Operating from their headquarters in Barnstaple, Devon, and making approximately six annual visits to North America, your role will involve a dynamic blend of field sales and business development. Your mission is to service leading Hardware Showrooms, Interior Design firms, and Architectural practices across the USA, showcasing our Client's innovative architectural hardware. As a committed advocate of social responsibility, you will contribute to the ethical framework that defines our Client's brand, while building lasting relationships and expanding their footprint in North America.
What you will do as the Sales Manager - Export BDM?
* Develop and maintain B2B sales within the luxury interiors specification sector in North America through direct sales and our Client's established network of dealerships and contacts.
* Based at their head office in Barnstaple, Devon, you will travel to North America approximately six times a year. Your role will involve a dynamic blend of field sales and business development, servicing leading Hardware Showrooms, Interior Design firms, and Architectural practices in the USA.
* Collaborate with the USA-focused team, including a US-based special projects manager, a sales coordinator, and a sales support team based at their Devon office.
* Build rapport and relationships with customers and prospects through phone calls, virtual communication services, and email to introduce and present our comprehensive range of products and services.
* Conduct regular visits to the territory, engaging in client meetings and brand presentations with existing and prospective clients.
* Receive comprehensive product and process training to enhance your sales skills and technical knowledge while working with their experienced and enthusiastic team.
* Adapt to the time differences and travel elements of the position.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a confident, focused demeanour.
* Utilize your experience in B2B sales and business development to excel in this role.
* Leverage your experience in the luxury interiors sector and understanding of decorative hardware specification processes to drive success.
What skills and qualifications you will need to be the Sales Manager - Export BDM?
* Conduct regular 1 to 2 week-long visits to the USA for client meetings, brand promotion, or project-related activities.
* Attend and support trade shows within the territory.
* Manage your own diary and meeting bookings.
* Research and develop new clients within the designated territory.
* Collaborate closely with the existing management team to develop pre-identified markets.
* Maintain and expand the existing authorized dealer network.
* Work closely with the US-based special projects manager when required.
* Collaborate with the US Sales Coordinator for day-to-day territory management.
* Develop sales leads to closure.
* Maintain daily contact with existing clients and prospects through telephone, virtual meetings, and email.
* Service and progress sales leads and inquiries from initial contact to after-sales support.
* Maintain accurate customer and project records within their CRM system.
* Network at various events to bolster brand presence and expand the client database.
* Cultivate, nurture, and manage internal and external relationships.
* Develop industry and product expertise.
* Adapt to working both independently and as part of a team.
* Shares our commitment to social responsibility.
* Thrives in a hybrid work setting with office-based and field-based sales, including regular overseas travel.
* Adapts to a flexible work pattern to accommodate overseas travel and the US-to-UK time difference.
* Possesses experience in business travel to and within the USA.
* Demonstrates success in B2B sales and business development.
* Holds experience in the luxury interiors sector and an understanding of decorative hardware specification processes.
* Exhibits excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
* Proves a track record of business development success with a strong desire to grow sales in the territory.
* Takes pride in your work and maintains an excellent level of attention to detail.
* Demonstrates competence with the Microsoft Office package.
* Understands the exceptional customer service levels associated with a luxury brand.
* Grasps business-to-business sales processes within a demanding sector.
* Possesses a practical/technical interest in our range of products and the market.
* Is a focused and organized collaborator.
* Displays an active interest and desire to learn more about luxury brands, interior design, and architecture.
* Desires to learn and progress with a proactive attitude to develop their knowledge.
* Holds a valid UK Driving License and Passport.
