Sales Order Processor
Salary - £26,000 per annum
Hours - 08:00 – 16:30
Job Type - Full-time (6 Month Contract)
Location - Halstead (Office based)
Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking a diligent Sales Order Processor to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to efficiently process orders, liaise with various departments and external parties, and ensure accurate invoicing and reporting.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
Main duties of the role include;
• Process orders for company and intercompany transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Liaise with hauliers, planning, purchasing, intake & dispatch, and customers to ensure smooth operations
• Carry out intercompany invoice runs and maintain accurate records for weekly and monthly reports
• Raise and record any shortages with the supply chain on purchased stocks
• Communicate with planning regarding shortages on packed stock to determine production dates
• Attend weekly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align company strategies and operations
• Efficiently and effectively communicate with external customers and hauliers
• Liaise with the Forecast Analyst on orders that exceed predicted forecasts
• Perform additional duties as requested by a Manager or Director.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in order processing or a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple departments and external parties
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the role
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems for order processing and reporting.
