Weeks: 39 Weeks per year- Term Time plus 5 training Days
Hours of work: 35 Hours worked - 8.30 am- 4pm
(potentially these hours could be reviewed for the right candidate)
Salary: Grade 5 Point 5 - 7 (fte £23,500 - £24,294) Actual salary- £19,151.77 -£19,798.85
Responsible to: Principal’s PA
Purpose of the job:
To provide an efficient and effective general administrative service for the school.
To provide high-quality customer service for a busy reception area by dealing with all visitors and callers to the school in a professional manner and providing assistance, directions and information as required.
Position of Administrative assistant / receptionist -working at The Harbour School, part of Meridian Trust family of schools.
The Harbour School currently caters for boys from 5-16 years who have an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP) for social, emotional and mental health needs. We currently have just over 100 pupils on roll who attend from all over the Cambridgeshire area and sometimes from outside the county. Our school is situated in rural Cambridgeshire. The generous grounds, including the wooded area and pond, are fully utilised through enrichment activities throughout the school day.
Our trust was first formed to lead a federation of schools in 2006 with a desire to provide high quality and dynamic education for everyone, right in the heart of our community. Through various government policies, our commitment to collaboration has remained consistent. We are a growing family academies, with new schools in development, all within easy distance of Cambridge and Peterborough.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The post holder should play a full part in the life of the school community and should display a high level of interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail and excellent levels of customer service. The post holder should contribute to the good order across the school by responding proactively where there is a cause for concern.
