Day-to-day of the role:- Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning and understanding of the curriculum.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor students’ progress and provide feedback.
- Implement strategies to engage students and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.
- Facilitate communication between students and teachers, ensuring that individual student needs are addressed.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational support position.
- Strong understanding of primary school curriculum and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
