Salary: £12.15 - £13.14 p/hr depending on experience (Actual salary £20,352.77 to £22,011.14)

We're an expanding specialist school providing education for young people aged 11 to 19 with complex care needs including behaviours that challenge and learning disabilities, often in association with autism spectrum conditions. We work hard to ensure students have a holistic and supportive environment, enabling them to flourish and develop in all aspects of life.
Based in Wakefield; we are currently looking to recruit an experienced School Administrator with responsibility forSEND Admin.
The Role
This is a busy and varied role providing efficient and professional secretarial and administrative support to the school, and the therapy team. This involves prioritising workload effectively under pressure and coping with conflicting demands and interruptions in order to meet internally and externally imposed deadlines.
Key duties
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the schools Management Information System (Engage)
- Assisting and liaising with the referrals team and organising assessment dates etc
- Planning of all Annual Review meetings and documentation ensuring deadlines are met.
- Supporting the EHCP review process.
- Updating all relevant documentation including Provision Maps, Student Support Plans, Pathway plans and other documentation as required.
- Drafting correspondence to parents, agencies, professionals, staff and internal correspondence
- Taking minutes across a range of SEND and therapy meetings, communicate actions and follow up on completion.
The role requires someone who pays meticulous attention to detail, has energy, enthusiasm, a calm manner, the ability to prioritise, a flexible working approach and being able to cope with conflicting demands and interruptions in order to meet internally and externally imposed deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Demonstrable experience of working in administrative roles
- Ideally (but not essential) to have knowledge of Educational Health and Care Plans or experience of working within a school environment.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy (at least 5 GCSEs above C to include English and Maths).
- Computer literacy - essential packages are Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
- Understanding of how to write/ communicate information to different audiences.
- Good organisational skills ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage own time to deal with multiple tasks.
- High levels of interpersonal ability with excellent written and verbal communication
