Reed Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join a Primary School in Mitcham. The successful candidate will strategically lead all aspects of Budget, Finance, Personnel, and Administration. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in formulating, reviewing, and implementing school policy and practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful running of the school and to be the school’s leading support staff professional.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Lead, operate, maintain, and develop the financial procedures and systems of the school.
• Provide professional leadership and management of school support staff.
• Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school.
• Play a central role in the Senior Leadership Team to liaise with relevant members of the local authority.
• Oversee the leadership and management of the whole school administrative function.
• Manage recruitment, performance management, appraisal, and development for all support staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience of strategic planning, budget monitoring, cash management, and forecasting.
• Proven experience of producing a variety of financial/management reports.
• Proven experience of management of teams and change projects.
• A sound knowledge of budget management.
• A sound knowledge of a range of financial systems and computer applications.
