School Club Deputy Manager

Busy Bee Recruitment have an extremely exciting opportunity for a confident and dedicated individual to join our client’s amazing childcare organisation based in a primary school setting to work as a School Club Deputy Manager, in running the daily breakfast club and after School Clubs. This role is based in Horley, Surrey.

Our client is an organisation that offers high quality play and childcare within a warm and welcoming environment before and after school hours.

As a childcare worker you are contracted to 22.5 hours per week, you will be responsible for the day-day running of the breakfast club between the hours of 07:00am-09:00am the afternoon club from 15:00pm-18:00pm as well as the administrative duties of the club. As a childcare worker you will provide leadership to their teams, as well as organise and plan the play and leisure activities for the children before and after school as well as during the school holidays.

Role Responsibilities:

• Setting up the club to create a safe play environment ready for when the children arrive.
• Organising settling in sessions for new children
• Meeting, greeting communicating with children and their families as well as teachers or other key professionals.
• Supervise children effectively ensuring the environment is safe.
• Communicating with Ofsted as and when appropriate
• Responsible for the day to day running of the club.
• Provide support, guidance, and leadership to the team.
• Organise and hold regular staff meetings as well as planning meetings.
• Recruiting new play workers
• Reviewing and approving staff rotas
• Encouraging children to be fair and caring by leading by example
• Encouraging children to get involved in fun activities.

Essential:

• Right to work in the UK.
• You must be over the age of 18 to apply.
• You must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a leadership or management role.
• You must hold a NVQ Level 2 in Play work / Childcare.
• A passion for working and learning with children.
• Good communication skills.
• A good understand of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Satisfactory references.
