Location: Witham
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive School Caretaker to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of students and staff within the school environment. Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct regular maintenance and security checks to ensure the school premises are safe, clean, and well-presented.
• Perform grounds maintenance tasks to keep outdoor areas tidy and well-kept.
• Promptly assess and address any maintenance issues to uphold health and safety standards.
• Provide logistical support for school events, including setting up and breaking down equipment and furniture.
• Act as the first point of contact for any facilities-related concerns, coordinating with external contractors when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a School Caretaker or in a similar maintenance role.
• An active DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, is highly beneficial.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, students, and external contractors.
