The Gateway Central Services is seeking to appoint a School Chef to join our passionate and enthusiastic catering team at The Romsey School in producing high quality and healthy meals for breakfast, snack time, lunch and the occasional function. This role offers 32 to 40 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time).
This new and exciting opportunity to become part of our catering team follows the decision to transfer The Romsey School catering team in-house.
The successful candidate will:
- Be passionate about creating and serving delicious and nutritious meals to students, staff, and visitors;
- Encourage and promote healthy eating habits and lifestyles;
- Prepare various ingredients such as meats and vegetables;
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment;
- Clean up and sanitize the kitchen area after cooking each meal and at the end of the shift;
- Work collaboratively with all members of the Gateway Central Services;
- Be enthusiastic about their own professional development and growth.
