As a School Finance Manager, you will need to be a dynamic, well-organised and efficient individual. You will be at the heart of all key financial decisions, influencing annual budgets and resource allocation as well as maintaining coordinated, detailed reports.
Also, as School Finance Manager, you will be working closely alongside the school business manager, Headteacher and other members of the SLT. Your voice and experience will provide targeted advice to help ensure the school hits its academic targets in relation to School Finances.
School Finance Manager Job Summary:
- School Finance Manager Salary: £45,000-£55,000
- Responsible for taking on a financial leadership role, responsible for the school budget.
- Report to School Business Manager and SLT with financial growth potential and income generation.
- Line manager for the school’s financial team, arranging training and development where appropriate.
- Review and manage school project finances.
- To maintain financial systems and ensure all processes are carried out in accordance with compliance regulations.
School Finance Manager Job Requirements:
- Experience as a School Finance Manager.
- Experience running administrative and financial systems within a school environment.
- Proficient with core school systems SIMS, FMS, Weduc, and ParentPay.
- Strong numerical skills to produce various financial reports.
- Chartered account qualifications are desirable – ACA ACCA CIPFA CIMA or AAT.
