Connex Education is working with a Secondary School in Durham City Centre who are recruiting for a Senior Administrator to help support the SEN Department

The school itself is a well-established mainstream school based in Durham All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment. They are looking for a school admin who is hard working, resilient and who wants to help in supporting the school’s admin/reception team.
Assignment Details
This role will commence ASAP and is a long term full time role
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm or 8am - 4pm
Must have experience in working in a fast-paced environment, Main duries include undertaking direct administrative support for SENCO and SSC Manager. Providing a typing / word processing service, which may include copy typing and require working to tight deadlines. Maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanour in a highly dynamic, changing, and challenging department. Maintaining stocks of stationery and resources, ordering provisions, when necessary, via school ordering system. Providing filing and photocopying services to the SEN team / SSC Team. Receiving messages via telephone and email, responding appropriately in a timely manner. Preparing statements, profiles, and additional reports. Contributing to the creation and development of systems and procedures, which allow effective liaison with internal and external agencies. Providing confidential minute taking during meetings as required. To be proficient in the use of software packages including CMIS, ePortal, and Microsoft Office and highly capable in relation to Excel / Word.

Person Specification
- Have experience working in admin ideally within a school setting.
- Have experience of using Sims & Class Charts but not essential as training can be given.
- Experience working within a Secondary School.
- Hold a DBS on the update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Be available to work Monday to Friday
