Ribbons & Reeves are collaborating with an outstanding secondary school located in Waltham Forest to find a School Librarian responsible for overseeing the school's library and acting as a Careers Advisor.
We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of School Librarian, a pivotal position within our institution. The School Librarian role required an individual with a genuine passion for research and reading, with a keen focus on fostering both educational exploration and recreational enjoyment among our staff and students. The School Librarian will contribute to developing and delivering professional careers advice and will lead and coordinate the delivery of work-related learning at the college.

School Librarian Role
Salary: GBP25,337-GBP27,098
Contract Type: Part-Time 3 days per week - Term-time - Permanent
School Librarian requirements:
- QCF level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance and/or Diploma in Careers Guidance and/or NVQ4 Advice and Guidance - please note for candidates who do not currently hold this qualification, training and support will be provided in order to ensure this is secured.
- Knowledge and some experience of running a library and library systems.
- Knowledge and awareness of the world of books.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Appreciation of how this job supports the achievement of students and the work of staff.
- Ability and willingness to take care over details and work to deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
