School Receptionist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome visitors, parents, and students with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, transferring calls to the appropriate department when necessary.
Maintain an organized and efficient front desk, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
Assist with student attendance records and manage late arrivals and early departures.
Provide administrative support to various school departments, including the principal's office, admissions, and faculty.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
Maintain school records and assist with data entry as needed.
Schedule appointments and manage the school's calendar.
Assist with special events and school activities, including open houses and parent-teacher conferences.
Uphold and reinforce school policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
A passion for education and a commitment to the school's mission and values.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fees or employers' NI. We are also proud to be an accredited Living Wage employer. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
Vetting: Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, and TRA checks, and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face-to-face interview.
