Job Duties:

• Conduct scientific research and experiments in accordance with project objectives
• Analyse and interpret data, preparing reports and presentations on findings
• Develop and maintain accurate laboratory records, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement research projects
• Contribute to the development of new research methodologies and techniques
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and research funding applications
• Stay updated with advancements in scientific knowledge and relevant technologies
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines in the laboratory
• Participate in the training and supervision of junior scientific staff

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of specialisation
• Experience in conducting scientific experiments and analysing data
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline

Experience:

Prior experience in conducting scientific experiments and analysing data

Working Conditions:

The Scientific Officer Level 2 will primarily work in a laboratory setting, conducting research and experiments. The position typically follows regular office hours, Monday to Friday, but may require occasional flexibility in working hours based on project requirements.
